Carlos Hernandez is a writer based in Tampa who has covered food for over 10 years. His award-winning blog, Carlos Eats, has tackled the food industry as well as beer, wine, cocktails and more while trying to spotlight all the great things others might miss. He helped to plan the World’s Largest Food Truck Rally EVER in 2013 as well as numerous other events around town. When he isn’t busy trying a new restaurant or covering the latest news, he enjoys drinking a quality cup of coffee from independent roasters and reading a good book.

Emily L. Hay Hinsdale is a writer and advocate based in Tampa, FL. She writes both non-fiction and fiction with a positive and encouraging vibe. Mary Lou Janson is a Tampa-based freelance writer whose career includes covering Florida’s agriculture and tourism industries for a daily newspaper and a stint as Visit Tampa Bay’s public relations director. She’s also spent time in California as a travel writer and photographer, where she co-authored “The Adventure Guide to Northern California.” After returning to Florida, she has contributed to regional blogs, local magazines and authored the inaugural edition of “Moving to Tampa – The Un-Tourist Guide.”

Janet K. Keeler is the senior assigning editor for the freelance team at The Penny Hoarder. She teaches food journalism at University of South Florida St. Petersburg campus and was the longtime food and travel editor at the Tampa Bay Times.

Rebecca Maglischo is the owner of Haka Fitness and director of the Deep Roots Nature School, both located in Lakeland, FL. She is a fitness junkie, outdoor enthusiast, hunter, gardener, conservationist and mom of two boys. Her writing is an outlet for thought experiments and an avenue for encouraging readers to embrace new ideas.

A native of Indiana, Michael Raines has a writing degree from Manchester College and a perpetual hankering for a Hoosier tenderloin sandwich. He and his wife, Jessica, now live in Tampa’s historic Ybor City neighborhood. He is on Twitter and Instagram at @Michael__Raines.

Jenna Rimensnyder earned her MA from the University of South Florida St. Petersburg in Journalism and Media Studies. Former Food + Drink Editor for Creative Loafing Tampa Bay, Jenna is now the Managing Editor of Perfumer & Flavorist magazine. Her signature drink order is a dirty martini with extra olives.

Melissa Santell is the Creative Director of Edible Tampa Bay.  She’s a published cookbook author and the founder of photography + branding studio, FoodxFeels. Her personal heaven includes endless bowls of pasta, working side by side with chefs and writing while basking in the sunshine.
