Rooster & The Till Brings Star Chefs to Tampa

Rooster & The Till restaurant is again hosting its Guest Chef Dinner Series, bringing in some of the country’s hottest chefs, including James Beard nominees and Michelin star winners.

“This year’s lineup is top notch,” Ferrell Alvarez, chef and co-owner of Proper House Group (Rooster & The Till, Gallito Taqueria, Nebraska Mini Mart and Dang Dude) said in a press release. “We’re bringing you some of the finest culinary talent from around the U.S. and our team can’t wait to collaborate and showcase the diversity of these great chefs.”

The four-part collaborative effort kicks off on September 18th with Chef Matt Baker, a two time Michelin star recipient. Baker is a Washington, D.C.-based chef and owner of (Michelin-starred) Gravitas, Baker’s Daughter, and Michele’s.

The October 23rd dinner, with guest Chef Lee Wolen, is sold out, according to the release. Wolen is a multiple-year James Beard award finalist for Best Chef: Great Lakes and has been executive chef and partner at the Michelin-starred Boka Restaurant in Chicago since 2014.

Chef Melissa Miranda will be the guest chef on November 20th. Miranda is the owner of Musang, a Filipino restaurant in Seattle, and is a James Beard award winner.

Finishing up the series on December 18th is Chef Cesar Zapata, of Miami’s Vietnamese restaurant Phuc Yea, who has been featured on The Food Network’s “Diners, Drive Ins and Dives” and was a semi-finalist on Gordan Ramsay’s “Best New Restaurant.”

New this year is a VIP upgrade which includes an open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres and a chance to mingle with the chefs. The price for each dinner is $250 per person, with a VIP add-on for $50. Prices include six courses with beverage pairing. Tickets are available at the Rooster & The Till website.
